Tank Liner Repairs

While fertilizer tank liners will typically last 10 to 15 years before needing replacement (some have lasted over 30 years!), on occasion they will need repairs, especially when being utilized to store thick or solid materials. Here at Agra Liners, we are able to repair liners up to a certain point, saving you the money from needing to replace the liner entirely or even the tank itself if the repairs aren’t done soon enough. If you notice any wear and tear in your liners, please call us immediately to schedule a repair, even if we didn’t fabricate and install the liner.

Our Process to Install a Fertilizer Tank Liner

The process behind installing a fertilizer tank liner isn’t as simple as it might sound. For a professional company, there are steps that need to be taken to ensure the safety of the workers and the integrity of the liner is maintained during installation without damaging the tank itself. We’ve established a tried-and-true system to fertilizer tank liner installation.

First, we ask that the original tank owner provide a clean, dry and vapor free tank (we are more than happy to assist in this process through one of our cleaning services) for us to work in. Once this is prepared, we’d advise you have the tank certified as well by a qualified API 653 inspector if the tank has been in use. When our team arrives on-site, we’ll conduct a through inspection ourselves to identify any rough areas or areas that need welding down to prevent damage, as well as looking for any repairs you might need done before proceeding with the installation. Once this is complete, we’ll install a leak detection system, add a geo-textile padding to separate the liner from the tank to prevent damage. Once this is complete, we will install the liner and remove the padding when finished.
